Thrush, UTI, or Change in washing liquid? *TMI*

Hi all

This post is tmi but need advice please

I'm almost 8 weeks pregnant and since last night I've been having a dull feeling in my stomach, not pain or cramping but mildly uncomfortable but I have been slightly constipated, probably due too taking pregnacare, so not sure if that's related to other symptoms.

Anyway, I have been feeling uncomfortable down there, soreish, needing to urinate alot (as usual) but slightly uncomfortable when I do. Urine is very yellow/orange but it has been since I found out I was preg so can't tell if theres much of a difference there. I just feel uncomfortable down there and irritated, finding that I want to be in the bath a lot. I have had thrush in the past but haven't suffered in a while, so not sure if it's that, a urine infection or the fact I just changed my washing fabric softener liquid. I may stop using the washing liquid and see if it improves.
Don't want to call the doctors up over something that may be nothing. Or something that i can resolve with over the counter creams.

Would you call the gp, or just see how it goes?

Call the GP just incase its a UTI.
If your pee is orange then it means you're not drinking enough though which can cause a UTI itself

I just had treatment for thrush as I was having a lot of discharge, serious soreness, itching, irritation and swelling! I have thrush regularly mind. I spoke to my GP, explained the symptoms but I also requested a swab to make sure it was thrush and a swab for other infections just in case. She prescribed me a three day course of thrush pessaries and now my symptoms have gone. I get results tomorrow for the swabs.

You could request for your midwife to test your urine as any sign of a UTI needs to be checked out. I just had my 28 week appointment & she tested my sample, said it showed signs of a potential asymptomatic UTI but when I told her I’d been using pessaries, she said that’s probably why. Went back today with another Urine sample, she tested it and it was fine. I think you should speak to your GP and midwife to get it sorted out x

Sounds like a uti to me, doesn't always cause pain when urinating. Call the GP and drop in a sample for testing x

I’d be concerned about the orange urine! Call the gp they will advise, either do a dip test or something else very simple to do. X
