Mucus plug....

Hi ladies!

So I’m currently 28+5 and I’ve started to loose my mucus plug..
I was in hospital last week as have a low lying placenta and had bleeding so was kept in for 24 hours, for the last few days I thought I was loosing my mucus plug and this was clear but today it is brown in colour,
I’ve spoken to my midwife who doesn’t seem concerned she said it’s completely normal but I’m only 28+5 so I’m a little worried after also being classed as high risk last week when I was took into hospital,
Anyone else experienced this and is it anything to worry about or is it normal??

Thank you

Always best to check things with medics (midwife, hospital etc...), but it can be perfectly normal to lose mucus plug, even early on. The mucus plug can and does regrow.

That said, it's a good thing to check with midwife if it happens again etc... especially as being classed as high risk.

You can lose bits of your mucus plug at any time. It regrows too
