Tiny bump 30 weeks

Anyone else got a really small bump? I literally have no bump when I lie down. Apparently fundal height not grown in a few weeks, but scan last week showed baby in normal limits for weight etc. Not a big mover and I have pre eclampsia so I can't help but feel paranoid! Also this is second baby, first baby I was huge.

I’ve got a bump, but not as big as I thought I would at 31 weeks. That said a girl I know gave birth at 38 weeks in August and she posted a pic to Instagram at 34 weeks and her bump looked like what I would expect to see at 12 weeks. Her baby was fine and was about 7 pounds. I think it all depends where baby is. If they have told you baby is in the normal limits I wouldn’t worry.

My bump wasn't much bigger than yours at 30wks, it almost grew at mass speed from 32-38wks!

This is me at almost 30 weeks. Iv always Been a little bit paranoid at having a smaller bump as a lot of people make comments. According to a private scan she's on the 50th centile though 😊

Penny2020 · 01/03/2021 15:36

I’m at 28 weeks and my bump is definitely smaller than yours. I’m also paranoid as everyone comments on how small I am, and I’m quite a ...’sturdy’ frame normally so my family get huge when they’re pregnant. But I’m measuring 50th percentile at the midwifes appointments and everything I’ve read says small bump means nothing. So I would pass the wisdom on (that I question daily myself) that size doesn’t matter!

3rdtimemomma · 01/03/2021 16:23

Oh just to add... at midwife apps I'm on 10th centile (just about!) but actual scan showed 50th so not to worry about external size 😊

SnooperTrooper12345 · 01/03/2021 16:34

I didn't get a noticeable bump with my second until 36 weeks!
Bump size doesn't mean anything as long as baby is fine!

Floopyandtired · 01/03/2021 17:38

I’m in a similar position, I was huge with my first baby but now at 26 weeks this pregnancy I’m much smaller. I have a growth scan at 32 weeks but I saw the midwife last week and she wasn’t concerned.

I'd be more concerned about the pre eclampsia . Hope that's being closely monitored as it can slow growth rate.

sunflowertulip · 01/03/2021 17:46

I was tiny with my first and had to have growth scans - she came 2 weeks early at 6lb 9oz totally fine. I barely showed until 28w, probably similar bump to you.

Thanks everyone for your responses! Definitely made me feel a lot better. I suppose every pregnancy is difference and I shouldn't compare this to the last one. I'm only 5 foot 2 and was a size 10 before pregnancy so I just don't know where baby is hiding! @3rdtimemomma you have a lovely bump! I hate the nasty comments, I think people they're being nice by saying we're small, but it just makes me paranoid!

@campion I'm being seen twice a week for bloods, blood pressure and checks. It's mild atm and have had a recent scan which was all good!

@MooreLew yeah it definitely puts a little bit of anxiety there! Well it does for me anyway!

I'm 5ft 8 and was a size 8/10 pre pregnancy... I just put it down to being tall! Iv always looked smaller pregnant but had decent sized babies!

It's such a unique thing! Everyone just carries so different and smaller bumps as we know can produce a 9lb baby and a larger bump a 6lb baby! It's just so unpredictable! 😊
