Hi guys!

We got our BFP last night and again this morning (granted faint ones - see attached)

Aside from the overanalysing every twinge cramp and feeling down below, I'm wondering how I date things and when I can go for an early pregnancy scan (don't worry I know not yet hahaha).

So looking at the NHS website using the calculator I'm 3 weeks pregnant (though I only ovulated 10 days ago) so I'm struggling to work out if that's right and if so would I book the early scan at nhs calculated 8 weeks or ovulation or implantation 8 weeks - it's all so confusing 😂

All help much appreciated, I was young with my DS and completely oblivious to all this as my first time TTC.

Aww congrats! If you know when you ovulated go from ovulation date and add two weeks. If I went from LMP I would have been 2 weeks ahead of where I was. When I went for a scan at 7 weeks it put me bang on for my ovulation date, whereas if I'd gone from LMP I would have been expecting to be 9 weeks. Later on I did get moved forward 4 days, but that was just because baby appeared to so some super speed growing!

It goes from the first day of your last period.

If you haven't had a period then you'd have to estimated and add on roughly 2 weeks to when you ovulated
