Hi there. I never post on forums. I am a lurker and spent the past year here looking for hope. I am posting today to maybe be the hope for others.
I am the mother to a 9 yo boy. My partner and I began TTC last May. In July we had a chemical and again in December. Due to this I went to see a fertility doc at Cornell to check what the issue was, knowing it was most likely my age - 42!
All our blood work came back normal and so did the sperm analysis. When I was there we did a sono as I hadn't gotten my period since the miscarriage and we saw 3 follicles which noted I was halfway through my cycle he guessed.
He said I was a perfect case for IVF we just needed to wait for the AMH bloods to come back and the genetic testing.
I got the call that my AMH was so low I had a diminished ovarian reserve and I was going to have a difficult time with IVF.
In the meantime I began seeing a practicioner at the Yinova center in NYC - I was diagnosed with Yang Deficiency and something else that could be handled with ancient chinese herbs and acupuncture.
3 weeks later I showed up to the Dr pregnant. He could not believe it. It happened naturally but with the help of some rebalancing.
I write all of this to say DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE. Don't always believe the doctors. I am old. My AMH was nil. I could not keep a pregnancy. I am now 8 weeks pregnant!!!!!
