Hi everyone, firstly I would like to apologies if I got the abbreviations wrong, I am all new to this and really need some advice...please forgive me haha.

Back in 2018 I had an ectopic pregnancy and since then myself and my husband have been TTC with just no luck. We had a lot of things going on like our wedding and job changes so stopped trying for a while and now we have been TTC religiously for the past 3 months.

We have been using conceive plus to help us as well.

SO ... this month my period app tracker said I Ovulated on the 16th Feb which would make me currently 12DP0.

At about 4DPO my boobs have been hurting like I don’t know what! They NEVER hurt like this...not even when AF is here. I have also been feeling really bloated and nauseous and just no energy what so ever! For the past few days I have been getting AF like cramps but I don’t usually get them until. Day or so before AF finally arrives.

I took a clear blue early detection test last night and it was a strong negative. I have seen poor reviews on these tests though so I’m not too worried.

I just feel like it is never going to happen for us!

I am currently 12DPO and wondering if anyone has ever got a BFN at 12DPO which has turned into a BFP?

I may have ovulated a day or 2 later as CM was like egg white for a few days so I could be a day or so out?

Are there any girls who can give me some advice or who have had the same symptoms but ended up getting BFP please?

Thank you all so much for reading and thank you in advance for answers xxx

Sorry I can't be much help.
And sorry you're feeling this way ❤️

When is your period due?
The only thing I can suggest, as hard as it is is to wait until then and test again.
A first response test will usually show up a few days before your missed period.
Clear blue don't usually show up until your period is due (from experience)

Thank you so much!

My period is due on the 3rd March so I will wait until then.

My cycle is not always the same every month and I'm usually out by a few days so hopefully it's because I ovulated a little later x

I took my early detection test 12 days post ovulation in November and it was negative. 4 days later (on period due date) it was positive and now I’m 19 weeks pregnant :)

Ahh that fills me with so much hope! Congrats on your BFP ❤️❤️ that's amazing news!

I am just worried about this cramping as not sure whether it's normal or whether AF is on her way. The only thing that is making me feel the pregnancy feeling is the fact my boobs are incredibly sore and my lack of energy!

Did you have anything similar? Xx

Hello :) with my first pregnancy I didn't get a positive until day of missed period, I was testing every day from 10dpo. I think it can vary how soon the egg implants.

My symptoms were, tingling boobs (both times) and this time I had cramping and insomnia.

I use a period tracker app and make sure we DTD for a few days before and after fertile window (for about 2 weeks in total) in case my cycle isn't exact

Sending you baby dust xx

the clear blue early detection tests should only be used with first morning urine if you are testing before your period. I got a strong pos on mine 5 days before period, but only with FMU. I think their accuracy before first day of your missed period (when using first morning urine is something like 78%).

Maybe try again tomorrow morning? fingers crossed for a BFP for you!

Hi @SarahElizabeth11, not sure if this is the answer you want but trying to be balanced. I’ve been there, and had both experiences. We were also all consumed by the TTC virus and had a few times when I was completely convinced (one time my boobs hurt like never before, another time I was convinced my sense of smell was amazing etc etc) and each time I was crushed when AF showed up month after month. It’s so hard not to get your hopes up and spend god knows how much on tests, isn’t it! But, I also have a happy story which was the month I had absolutely no symptoms whatsoever when I convinced myself I wasn’t pregnant - I tested the day my period was due to a BFN, still devastated. Inexplicable 3 days later a BFP and we’re now 27 weeks. So I’m afraid my answer to you is yes it’s possible that the test was wrong, it’s also possible it wasn’t! Either way, sending you every single ounce of hope and luck, be it this month or next month - there is hope xx

Thank you so much everyone! And congrats on your BFP! It's crazy isn't it that every month comes and it's different symptoms every single month!

I am going wait to see if AF shows on Wednesday then if not I will test again :)

The cramping has stopped now but the boobs are still so sore!

Last time I was pregnant I didn't notice sore boobs but I had little lumps on them so I knew I was, as mentioned it unfortunately turned into ectopic but the bumbs are still there from last time so I can't use that as a symptom this time, however, they seem to be getting darker or that might just be me wanting them to be darker 😂😩

People always say to stop trying then it will work but I just can't stop symptom checking ... think I'm addicted haha x

My boobs were agony at 7DPO - I did a test just for fun and it was negative. I then did a test day period due and it was positive, I’m now 31 weeks.

I know 7 is different to 11 but it can change all in a matter of days and you still have 4 days till you are due.

Good luck!

SarahElizabeth11 · 28/02/2021 14:53

Thank you so much and that's amazing news! Congratulations lovely x

Hoping for my BFP but if not there is always next month.

Did anyone get AF like cramping before their BFP? Xx

I had light period-like cramps from probably the day after the negative test to the day my period was due so I figured period was on it’s way since I had had a negative test but then period didn’t show up!

SarahElizabeth11 · 01/03/2021 14:23

Did you get your BFP? If so how many days after DPO did it show? Xx

I would say try not to symptom spot. When we were TTC I had every symptom going and was crushed to see a negative test each month. The month I got pregnant I had far less 'symptoms' and I got a positive test at 11dpo using a FRER.

If you ovulated a few days late there is still time, I would always say use a FRER if you can too. If not try not to worry, I know its easier said than done but 3 months is no time at all (even though it feels like forever).

SarahElizabeth11 · 01/03/2021 14:52

We have been TTC for 4 years, got pregnant after 3 months but unfortunately ended in ectopic. Been trying since but had a break from 'trying' for a couple of months and only just started TTC again. So all in all it's been just over 3 years TTC it just doesn't seem to be happening.
