Prob being stupid but seem to be worrying about everything at the moment.

I'm 25+1 and bent over whilst sat down to retrieve something from the footwell of my car this morning and now I'm scared I've squashed my baby - I bent over and to the side wilst reaching under the steering wheel.

Not felt any movement sionce doing this...about 30 min ago...but then again don't always at this time of day...

Please tell me I won't have harmed her..

ps. sorry if I sound like a complete nutter but everything is worryign me at the moment - don't know why....pregnancy hormones?

Hi Rascal
Every time I put my tights on in the morning I worry about the same thing, but I think we all worry too much about lack of movement and mine normally comes back kicking with a vengeance half an hour or so later. Having something sweet normally works to get mine kicking.

Thanks Rubyshoos. I am having irrational thoughts that I've squashed her now already a bad mother before she's born!

why dont you sit down and rest or have a cold drink and see if you can her moving....if you are really worried then ring the midwife up and explain your concerns to her.

meemar · 05/11/2007 10:17

rascal - it is really highly unlikely you have harmed your baby.

Please don't worry - she is well protected and cushioned in there. If you had been squashed badly enough to harm your baby you would be in considerable pain yourself.

Don't worry xx

Just want to add that if you are still worried there is no harm in calling your midwife.

She wont think you are a nutter - she will have heard the worries you can imagine from pregnant mums

Thanks everyone - just felt a bit of a movement so think she is okay - will keep an eye on her movements - why is being pregnant so stressful!

I'm at my antenatal class tonight and antenatal appt then so will speak to the MW if I'm still worried.

I'm not sleeping well at the moment so I think it might be that whichis making me worry more than usual - that and damn pregnancy hormones
