Stay in Hospital

Hi all
I'm getting induced next Saturday and with my previous 2 I was in there for 3 days. So I want to prepare myself this time round. My question ... Once admitted can your birth partner leave the hospital/labour ward to go and purchase food from outside? I just don't want to be packing snacks, snacks and more snacks.

Just unsure because of this whole covid situation, where as before they could.

Thanks

All depends on your own hospitals rules.
At mine, once in, they stay in. But they're only allowed in when in established labour. So aren't in the whole time during induction. And then they have to leave an hour after birth.
So your partner will be able to bring you some stuff if he's allowed to visit the next day

Different at each hospital. At mine, birth partner can stay with you for the duration of your stay- labour and post-natally, but if they leave they will not be re-admitted, so have to take enough snacks/food, clothes etc to last them.

I’m 35 weeks and we are building a GIANT snack hamper. We did the same last time and ate it all as I ended up being in for 7 days!
