Repeat blood appointment-Ferritin?

Just been called to go come back to the hospital for further blood tests after they detected Ferritin.

Anyone had this before? Is it anything to worry about? I'm 15 weeks and been really sick (constantly throwing up) and nauseous so my diet is really bad unfortunately. I can't keep anything down most days and just worried that isn't helping at all if I have low iron.

They should always detect ferritin as it measures your stores of iron. Did they say if it was low or high? Did they tell you your level?

Sorry should add, I was told by a midwife that if your levels are low you can feel pretty rubbish but the baby should be fine as they take whatever you have.

Ferritin is basically your iron reserves.
Are yours low?
They will probably put you on iron supplement and anti sickness meds.
Don't worry about it. It is quite common in pregnancy...
Hope you get better x

@Teakind @SunnySideUp2020 my levels are low and frankly it makes sense because I feel so shite.
I've been on the Pregnacare vitamins throughout which make me heave because they're so freaking huge lol but I'm taking them as I'm aware my diet is pretty poor atm. Hopefully they can prescribe something else that'll help.

Thanks both x
