Gallstones whilst pregnant???

Hi all. I’m stm 12 weeks and due for first scan tomorrow. Recent blood tests showed an issue with liver so today I had a live scan and they found a massive gall stone that they said looks like it’s been there a awhile. I still have to wait to see what doctor will say but this won’t be for a few days up to a week. I just wondered if anyone has had big gallstones whilst pregnant and what treatment were you given? Thank you

I was diagnosed with gallstones during pregnancy. I had no treatment at the time and had my GB removed 2 years later.

I had them, nothing much happened, they bothered me a lot in my first pregnancy but I also had ICP which causes a similar pain. I still have them a couple of years on but haven't had a proper attack of them for ages so no treatment needed at present.

On a related note though, keep an eye out for itching (hands and feet especially but anywhere) as ICP is more common in women with gall stones.
