Protein in urine?

Hi everyone, I saw my midwife yesterday and she tested my urine. She discovered there is protein in it so is sending it off to be tested. Not I'm kind of worried about preeclampsia. The only other symptom I have is swollen ankles. Blood pressure is fine. I'm 26 weeks today. Anyone had this and it turn out to be nothing?

It could be sign of urine infection or a sign of pre-eclampsia or it could just be contamination with vaginal discharge
