Not really sure what I'm hoping for by posting here but guess I just need to get this off my chest.
A bit about me. Been ttc almost 2 years. Had 3 early miscarriages and have an appointment soon with the recurrent miscarriage clinic. We had decided to use condoms whilst waiting for the appointment as I didn't want the heartbreak of another miscarriage.
Fast forward to today. My period is 6 days late. Tested twice yesterday and twice today. All 4 tests came back positive. One was a clearblue digital with weeks indicator which said conception occured 2-3 weeks ago. Thing is, that's impossible! Me and DH have been going through a rough patch and haven't had sex at all this cycle. Here is where it gets confusing. In my Jan cycle we did have spur of the moment unprotected sex. But my period showed up right on time, usual flow, usual duration etc. I did have a few days of random brown watery discharge that I only noticed when I went the toilet for a few days after my period ended. If I conceived from the unprotected sex in Jan, my LMP would put me at around 8 weeks pregnant.
I did call my GP today and she sent me for a blood test today to check my HCG levels and she said depending on the results of this would send me to the EPU for a scan. I have zero pregnancy symptoms besides a late period and tender breasts but that happens around the time I am due on anyway!
I'm just so confused. This never happened with any of the previous pregnancies that I lost. Could it be I am pregnant despite having what I thought was a period? Is it ectopic, is that why I had the period and brown watery discharge, is there some other medical condition I am yet to realise I have that is causing my HCG levels to rise? I'm just feeling so stressed and anxious about it all! Although we have been ttc its actually been a relief taking a break from it the last few months and I hadn't planned on trying again until later this year. With me and DH not being in the best place and some other things, now is the worst time for us to have a pregnancy stick!
Apologies for the ramble! I just needed to get this off my chest! Would be interested in hearing if anyone else has had a similar experience though and what the outcome was?
