I'm 7+5 today and seem to be getting bad back and hip pain! Does anyone know if this is a normal thing to have at this stage? It's not unbearable pain but definitely noticeable

I’m only 6weeks but have had back ache and felt like my pelvis twisted.
I put it down to lifting the dog into the bath. And how I sleep, curled up on my side.
Yesterday I did some yoga and helped ease it off a bit.

Hi guys
It's awful isn't it. I truly sympathise.
I had severe SPD with my 1st and 3rd baby, with my 3rd it started at 10wks.
But I am 21wks with my 4th, and this time round I started doing yoga from before I was pregnant and walk every day.
As I didn't have spd with my 2nd, I'm not sure if it just skips every other one for me, but so far, I am having no issues.
There are so many yoga videos online, obviously choose a proper pregnancy yoga one as there are some positions you're not supposed to do, and check with your midwife/gp if you need to before hand.
Build up to it. There are some videos for stretching off achey joints and some that are more a workout and faster paced. If you've never done yoga before, start with the stretching ones every other day to become familiar and work up to what's comfortable. There are also a lot of variations of positions in case you have difficulty...if it hurts, do the variation.
My favourite sessions are on the channel pregnancy and postpartum tv, but there are many, many others online.
I honestly believe this is helping me and I hope I can avoid SPD or at least keep it at bay until much later.
Good luck. Xx
