Cleaner during lockdown and being pregnant

Hi all - for the last few months we've asked our cleaner not to come because of the COVID risks. We've been paying her during this time which I don't mind as none of this is her fault. She got in touch to say when we'd like her to come back. Issue is I'm now pregnant and worried about the risks. Although I would love to have her back as I'm struggling to keep the house clean!

Anyone else in this situation? Do you think the fact that cases are coming down reduces the risk?

Exactly the same situation!

It's been two months since she last came because we thought best be cautious as cases were spiking, but I don't really clean myself, nor does DH, apart from a quick vacuum or a wipe down.

I can't stand the state of the house so she's coming back next week! She stays out of the way anyway whilst she's here, so hope the risk is low, but there is always a risk so it is a gamble.

We've kept her since week 3 Jan, she doesn't do the rooms we work in when we are working and ask her to do these rooms when we go for walks during weekends, so she flexes the days she comes. Best decision ever, she opens windows and wears a mask

I’m not really sure there is much of a risk if you stay out of each others way, cleaners have been allowed in for ages. Keep things well ventilated.

No extra risks now that you’re pregnant is there?

Our cleaner came back yesterday. I’m pregnant and she’s pregnant 😂

She doesn’t do either of our home offices and we try and stay out her way.

We stopped ours because of this reason. House isn’t as nice but no one is coming over anyway! Seems like an unnecessary risk to me but obviously each person is different and has different needs :) it’s more of a luxury than a need for us! X
