Baby Movements

I'm sure that this has been asked before but I can't seem to find the convo on this ....

I'm 25 weeks preg and have been feeling baby move since 19 weeks - in recent weeks some big kicks and quite frequent. However over the past couple of days I've not felt quite as many kicks or as frequent, they also seem a little 'duller'. Still feeling over 10 kicks a day - but am I right in thinking that this is only necessary to count after 28 weeks? - but odd ones rather than 5 or 6+ together.

Do you think baby could have changed position and be kicking backward etc? or should I be concerned?

Thanks in advance!

Apparently it is at around 28 weeks you should be worried if you don't feel any type of movement, sometimes they will be less strong as the bay will move around making it kick in different places.
so yes, you are right, ten seperate movements a day after 28 weeks.
Also it may be that your baby's waking/sleepign periods are changing and that s/he is more active at night.
But as you are feeling movements I really wouldn't worry unless there are any other reasons to be concerned (blood, foul smelling discharge, pains, severe headaches, oedema etc)

Baby still has a lot of room to move around in there so it could have turned and be kicking inwards or be sat slightly differently which is why the kicks seem 'duller'.
I am now 32 weeks and still have days when baby is quieter - perhaps they have a few sleepy days when they have a growth spurt?

I find this soooo confusing. I'm 34 weeks and had a little scare over the weekend with a little bleeding. All is well, but everyone kept asking "is the baby moving as normal"? and I am really confused as to what "normal" is.
He/she does different things different days, some are very lively some I hardly feel anything.
The doctor said they have a 40 min sleep pattern, and apparently could tell by the heart rate monitor that mine had woken up after the said 40 mins, but I certainly couldn't feel anything.
Also feeling "squirms" rather than strong "kicks" i would say...

Sorry rascal, that was no help to you at all! I would agree with other posters, your baby is still wee enough to turn and kick "in the way". I think as long as you are still feeling it everything is ok.

Thanks everyone - She has moved a bit more this evening but more squirming with a few kicks. I have a MW appt on Tuesday so will mention it then...? Think this will be okay??

Why is having a baby soooo scary! Seems that once I have stopped worrying about one thing there is another to take it's place.....

Any MW on here that can reassure me???
