Baby in position, but now in pain!

Hi Mumsnet

My little girl has finally changed from oblique to engaged - 3/5 in pelvis over the weekend, hooray.

However, I'm now in agony all afternoon from my poor cervix/bladder :( It feels like exactly what it is - a big, heavy baby coming out of me incredibly slowly!

Kind of like a glacier slowly grinding down a mountain.....

Is this what to expect for the next few weeks? Any tips for relieving the discomfort? Or perhaps it is all good practice?

I'm 37 weeks on Thursday

Ahh I'm 34 weeks and it has already begun for me!
And then gets even worse every time she moves!!
Wish I could advise you on what to help!

@SnooperTrooper12345 my heart goes out to you fellow sufferer!

Sitting pretty much does not work any more. Kneeling, or lying curled over my lovely birthing ball and groaning brings some relief...!

FYI for anyone reading - the pain went away! Oddly I think as she’s gotten even more engaged she’s kind of moved past that awkward position
