Birthing partner rules

With the new announcement yesterday I was wondering what that would mean for birthing partners? I'm due 10th July and I know the current rule is only 1 person but I was wondering what people's thoughts would be on if 2 birthing partners will be allowed by then? Just curious and wondered peoples opinions!

It totally depends on your local trust as some are allowing different things already. I'd imagine by July you'll be fine with limited, if any restrictions. No point worrying about it now though, give it a few months and then see how things changed Liz

It looks promising but no guarantees that things will be relaxed. I think it will vary by trust and their infection rates closer to the time. Keep your fingers crossed and eyes peeled on your hospitals covid updates.
