Being induced tomorrow!! Scared

Hi all. Just thought I'd come on here for some reassurance really. I'm 40+1 weeks and am due to be induced tomorrow due to the baby growing small and weight has tailed off. I always knew that was going to be a possibility of being induced but now it's happening and with my anxiety around birth I'm petrified. I didn't have a good birth with my first and now also having a child and leaving her to go in to hospital is also making my anxieties worse. I'm scared of something going wrong and the whole process. Any one with a positive story of being induced would really help me right now. Many thanks in advance xx

2 of my 4 children were induced-I preferred those births as I was already in hospital when labour started -no panic and rushing to get there in time.

I was induced with my second.
Had a pessary at 10pm. Was supposed to start the drip 4 hours later but they were short staffed so started the drip at 7am. Baby arrived safely at 6pm.

You'll be fine.

My 1st was an induction, not my favourite birth but not terrible. Was started off at 39+3 with pessaries which started contraction but tailed off. Taken to delivery at 39+6. That hormone drip is not great, made me vomit and contraction were worse than natural labor. Was talked in to epidural after getting high as a kite on G&A, was much more chilled after that until fetal distress. They used vontouse as they wanted her out fast and she had cord round neck but they perked her up and all was fine. I was stitched up as I had newborn cuddles and was able to walk within an hour of birth, bit wobbly though. 7hrs 38 from them breaking waters.

My first induction was a 50-hour nightmare.

My second was one pessary, a good night's sleep, then a gas-and-air two hour labour. I swear to god if I could experience the second one again I would; my body knew what it had to do this time around, and it just got on with it. It was wonderful.

Good luck. I'm sure you'll be just fine.
