Hi all,

I’m 30 weeks, was given my notes at 12 weeks and told to bring them with my to all my appointments(which I have done)

However so far no one has written anything in them and no one has asked to look at them so just wondered when they will be needed.

The only thing mine have ever been used for is growth scans. Or to ask for a sticker off the paper 😂

So unless you have growth scans, it never gets used

The records are mostly digital these days.

My "notes" is just a booklet with an appointment section, some stickers with my details on then print out reports from scan.

Must be different depending on where you are. Mine are huge, cumbersome and heavy. I've had to change my bag to accommodate them. I hate them, they drive me insane. Agree with PP, should all be digital, I wouldn't worry.

Haha! Yes at my last appointment the midwife asked for a sticker (which I had forgot) whoops lol.

I did have a growth scan and they didn’t write anything in it either.

I had a booket in 2017 where my appointments and bump measurements were recorded. In 2020 it was all on an app.

When I had DD two years ago, they wrote a bit in at eat appointment and one time because I was under huge stress from work there was a full page written which then had to be read by everyone who saw me (never had the same midwife more than twice). Paper reports from scans were added as I went

This time I have paper notes and have been sent scan and blood results to add to them and also have an app on my phone with similar

Are you having several growth scans? That's what they write on there to follow the graph.

As PP said though, it's all online

@SnooperTrooper12345 I’ve had one growth scan so far and I was able to view the chart on my app (which I wasn’t told about until I went for my 28 week appointment)

My hospital has also gone paperless for letters so I can download them from an online portal which is great. I got my dating scan letter just hours after my booking app and my consultant letter the next day.
