Sinus pain / aching

Hiya,

I’m 23 weeks pregnant and suffered from bad sinus headaches for approx 2 weeks in weeks 15-17. Blood pressure etc checked and advised by midwife that it was hormonal and they’d stop , which they did .

They seem to have come back this week but the most pressure is under my eyes and around my ears and jaw. I went to the dentist today as it felt like toothache but the dentist said there was nothing wrong with my teeth.

I’ve read that sinus infections can be common in pregnancy but I have no congestion or cold like symptoms / blocked nose .

Has anyone experienced similar?

I think this might be what I'm experiencing. Went to the hospital today to have blood pressure & urine checked and all normal which is a relief, but doesn't explain why I've had a constant headache and pressure behind my eyes for the last 5 days Sad.

I'm 27 weeks so was worried about pre-eclampsia, thankfully it's not so I'm hoping it will just go away by itself. Paracetomal doesn't seem to do alot so it's frustrating, I feel your pain!

There is a common condition called 'pregnancy rhinitis' this affects your sinuses and around your jaw area too. Look it up and see what you think. It's uncomfortable but generally harmless. Hope this helps! Xx

@Ejkipb I did look into rhinitis , it says I’d have cold like symptoms or congestion but I don’t have any of that which is strange , just the aching all around my face.

@bovrilbezer my headaches did go after 2 weeks last time so hopefully the same happens for you .

Think we just need to admit this is another one of the very bizarre pregnancy symptoms which we probably won’t get an explanation of lol. Hang in there xx
