Covid worry

So I'm asthmatic and normally with a cold get pretty poorly. Fx not had covid yet however as a family been very safe. Do have 3 children though at school. Dh works from home. However I was due my vaccine (unpaid carer). However couldn't because I was pregnant.
Now the government are saying end of June all social restrictions will be lifted and tbh feels that puts me in a vulnerable position esp with my kids bringing it home to me. 🙄.
This pregnancy was a surprise and didn't really plan on any more let alone one through a pandemic.....

@Skymum82 if it is any reassurance I am asthmatic and had covid the end of December whilst pregnant. Whilst it was really horrible and left me tired and breathless for a good 6 weeks after I wouldn't say it was much worse than a bad cold/flu

Thanks, I'm more worried about catching in my third trimester and giving birth with it. It doesn't look like we are going to be very protected 😢

I have a feeling school reopening etc will result in the reopening of other things being delayed

But i share your concerns, i'm 21 weeks and considering taking mat leave asap

I’m Clinically Vulnerable through a breathing difficultly and in our house we plan on shielding for the month before the due date. I don’t want to risk having it for the birth or DH having it and him not being able to attend the birth. Easier for us through without having and school age DCs. Until the month before we’re going to cautiously do as we’re allowed under the road map.

There’s lots of time for them to see how opening society at each step goes (including schools), it seems like this time they will be driven much more by the data.
