MW just rang following dating scan blood tests. Feeling a bit wobbly as unsure what to do.

The NIPT is a lot of money for us (I was made redundant at 4 weeks, and DP has been furloughed since March last year so money situation hasn't been great) from my understanding doesn't give you a yes / no just a more accurate possibility (if anyone can clarify this to me that would be most welcomed). The Amniocentesis / CVS testing carries risks of it's own so I'm a bit worried about this option. Or wait until the detailed scan. Does the detail scan always pick up issues here?

I really don't know what to do. I'm terrified. I don't even know what I'm asking... maybe someone with experience being in this position could give words of wisdom?

I’m in the same situation with 1:88 chance of downs so would be interested to hear too. It’s so hard to know what to do!

It is! I think I’m going to go for the NIPT test and see what they comes back as. Might be worth asking your hospital if there’s any finding available to help with the cost as mine told me there is finding there to help people who will struggle to pay. Flowers for you too
