Hi, it's my first post ever on here, only just joined the site :)
I am 5 weeks pregnant :) I'm reading some of you are having HGC blood tests taken. How do I get one? Do I need to call my go? Are you going privately? I'm sorry if it's a stupid question...thank you!

Unless there are concerns about the viability of your pregnancy hcg bloodtests are not routinely carried out

They seem to do them a lot in the US but not routinely on the NHS

It isn't something routinely done in the UK unless there is issues or concerns.

No need to know them really 😊

Thank you! I thought I'm missing something Grin

You can pay to have them done privately, but I’ve only had one on the nhs and that was part of a full blood screening due to other issues not pregnancy.

Think I paid about £50 per hcg test after my ivf.
