Cyclogest & Symptoms

Hi,

I am 5+4 weeks pregnant! Previously had 2 MC's last year and EPU prescribed me cyclogest 400mg twice a day. I am extremely tired, like really fatigued and just sensitive nipples when touched but that's it. I'm now worried incase the progesterone is causing the symptoms and not the pregnancy. Anyone else got experience of being on these? I'm worried about my lack of symptoms :-(

Even if it is from that and not from pregnancy, even though they are common pregnancy symptoms.
It doesn't mean anything.
A pregnancy with zero symptoms does not mean anything at all.
Same as a pregnancy with all the symptoms means nothing either.
I rarely get any symptoms except from the occasional sore boobs that come and go week to week.
Never been sick. Never even felt sick.

@SnooperTrooper12345 thanks, I just have really bad anxiety after having suffered 2 miscarriages. Unfortunately with my healthy pregnancy I had lots of symptoms but with my 2 miscarriages I didn't and I am worried of it happening again!

Hi OP, I had cyclogest and also worried that every symptom I had was down to the pessaries. All of the symptoms I had through 1st and 2nd trimesters were so changeable that it's impossible to know if any of them were due to cyclogest or not but my PG has been successful so far. You're still really early as well - even if you're going to get symptoms they might not have appeared yet. Personally I did start getting nausea but only from about 7 weeks whereas my boobs didn't get sore or grow at all until 3rd trimester (and that's a classic progesterone side effect!) The only thing I think was due to the progesterone was horrendous gas because that was consistent when I was taking it and stopped when I stopped. I'm genuinely more comfortable putting my socks on now at 34 weeks than I was at 9 weeks. Now the bump gets in the way but I can work around it, back then it was agonisingly painful.

As another poster said, symptoms often don't mean much anyway. Try not to worry (I know that's hard). Are they giving you extra scans? That should help ease your worry a bit if they do. I got extras at 7 and 9 weeks because I was on progesterone and everything was measuring spot on (all of my MC had measured behind so that helped a bit).

Thank you @BlueberryPancake21 that's reassuring! I've never been on progesterone so it's all new to me. Yes thankfully they are, I have my first scan next Wednesday so here's hoping all will be ok. Glad your pregnancy is going well x
