Constant nausea

Just entered week 6 of pregnancy with my 2nd. I had morning sickness with my first. Probably sick 3 times a day on average with some nausea but could function.

This time I’m having 24 hours nausea and finding it completely debilitating. I’m sick if I try and get anything done or drink more than a few sips.

I’ve tried crackers, wrist bands, ginger, different drinks etc. and have sent dp off to get B6 vitamins. What did you find worked for you?

I’m going to try and get a appointment with the GP tomorrow but not sure how sympathetic they will be as I don’t think I’m being sick enough for it to be classed as Hyperemesis.

You don’t need to be being severely sick to get medication from the GP. But even if you did, it sounds like you’re struggling to even keep liquid down and I’d class that as severe sickness to be honest. I had cyclizine from the GP and it worked well.
I also found Granny Smith apples cut through the horrible taste in my mouth and settled my stomach, but if you’re really struggling then that may not cut it! I found smoothies a better way to just get something into my stomach than solid food, and I’d eat raisins individually, literally forcing them down one by one until I started feeling a little better.

Hope you get it sorted soon! I had nausea 24/7 with my daughter and then at 16+2 it disappeared and never returned.

Thank you both! I was prescribed cyclizine this morning and felt so much better within a few hours.
