Low sex drive

Anyone else have a really low sex drive in early pregnancy? I'm really hoping this is normal. I'm 4 weeks pregnant and I found out on Tuesday. I'm feeling bad for my partner because I have absolutely no desire to have sex, usually we are at it like rabbits (sorry tmi 😂) and now I am just not In the mood at all. I don't want him to feel like now I'm pregnant that I don't need him anymore, I usually have a high sex drive to match his. Please tell me I'm not alone and this is just my hormones 😂 xx

You're not alone. Happens to me each time!

Think ive had sex 3 times since I found out, now 28 weeks. It happens, partner will be understanding im sure.

I had the exact same in first trimester, well until about 17 weeks, then since I've had the opposite problem!!! X

It’s very normal. A lot of people feel awful in the first trimester so sex is the last thing on their minds !

We had sex 3x between 4 and 16 weeks and since then probably twice a week when normally it would be at least 4.

I think I’ve had it once in 38 weeks

I've been the same this pregnancy. The one time I did feel like it I got brown spotting for a couple of days after so that put me off again (this one follows 2 mc's).
Hubby is used to going without as he's military, does still moan about it though.

@Chelyanne that's another thing I'm worried about, this is my 4th pregnancy and I sadly lost the other 3 before 6 weeks. I always had spotting early on with those and so far I haven't had any, I don't want to risk it 😫

Condolenses in your losses, it's hard to relax in pregnancy after mc. Good luck with this one, I hope it thrives.
My bleed was at over 13wk. I know brown blood is old blood and usually not an issue but it was still terrifying. I was the same in our sons pregnancy, he also followed 2 mc's. The girls, my sex drive was the opposite and hubby loved it lol.

@Chelyanne thank you, I'm sorry to hear of your losses aswell, it's hard to get excited after that isn't it. Haha really! I hope my sex drive comes back, I miss it even though I don't want it right now 😂

I felt so sick I didn’t fancy anything until about 14 weeks and OH was so panicky that he would “hit the baby”. Bless him I gently informed him he was not that well endowed.

We finally broke our duck at 16 weeks! I think a lower sex drive is perfectly normal. Your body is going through a lot.

Thanks @buckingmad I definitely feel better knowing it's normal now. I'm not feeling particularly rubbish, only symptom I have is sore boobs at the moment. I'm just not in the mood at all which is unlike me. Hopefully in a few weeks I will go back to normal haha xx

Think we’ve done it 4 times since finding out, I’m now 26 weeks, not done it at all in 2021 yet, I just can’t be arsed!! 🙈

We haven't done it since bfp... I'm 25 weeks. I have had zero sex drive since, and DH hasn't tried it on once 🤷🏼‍♀️ hopefully we go back to normal afterwards!

Also normally a daily thing for us.
Sex drive has gone at 6 weeks and hasnt returned yet 34 weeks now.
Very sad...

I do make an effort to ensure there is some intimacy still, as personally I feel it’s really important. It’s our third pregnancy and during our first I don’t think we had sex once, then obviously baby and it took a long time for it to come back.

But never do anything you don’t want to of course !

When I was pregnant I remember crying over something I read in a pregnancy magazine - the woman being interviewed said she couldn’t keep their hands off her husband thanks to those pregnancy hormones! I didn’t feel like that at all and was worried I’d never feel like that again.

I didn’t want sex during 2 out of 3 of my pregnancies, but my sex life went back to normal each time.

I'm 14 weeks and I've got my sex drive back, however I'm too exhausted to have sex in the evening and we both work stupidly early so morning sex is out the question.
