Hello,
I am 6 weeks 4 days and today I have had some bright red blood a few times when wiping. No pain/cramps, I have put a pad on and so far nothing is on that but naturally I am now fearing the worst. I already have a scan booked in at EPAU in 2 days as routine due to having fertility treatment. I have read that bleeding can be common but still doesn't stop the worrying. Can anyone give me their experiences please?

Thank you

Hi @Sarah5678 I had bleeding like this at a similar point. I had a scan and it turned out I had a small hematoma. The baby wasn't effected and over the next couple of days the bleeding changed to brown discharge and then gone. I had a scan at 11+1 last week and the hematoma has gone. It could be something like this. I'm sorry it's happening to you, it's so stressful xx

Hi @Sarah5678, sorry to hear that you have this to worry about.

I had a miscarriage two weeks ago at 6+5, however it sounds different in that my light bleeding turned to lots clots etc in the night, so by morning I was basically convinced I had miscarried. I went for a private scan as the wait for one at my local EPU wasn’t ideal, and it was confirmed there.

I posted on here and got lots of positive replies with accounts of absolutely no problems after bleeding. For us that wasn’t the case but I’m feeling grateful it was early and uncomplicated (clutching at straws 😂), have just ovulated and tried again.

I hope things work out for you, take care xxx

Thank you for your replies! It was quite minimal and is just a bit brown now when I wipe so hoping it does not come back! X
