Sharp pain in groin early pregnancy

Hi all,

I'm 8+2 weeks pregnant with my first. I've had mild cramping and twinging since about one week before my BFP, athough this has settled down in last week. Then today I woke up with a sharp, shooting pain in my left groin. It comes and goes, particularly with movement and it feels really deep if that makes any sense. I know it's not an ectopic pregnancy and I had a scan at EPU yesterday for another reason and all was well so I'm not overly concerned that it is anything sinister. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and knew how to relive it? I want to avoid paracetamol if possible.

Thanks x

It sounds perfectly normal. Everything is growing and shifting around.
Paracetamol is the only way to ease things really.
If not, try a hot water bottle or similar

Thanks @SnooperTrooper12345. I think because this is my first pregnancy and I'm yet to speak to a midwife I have no idea what is and isn't normal!

@LunaDreams

Thanks *@SnooperTrooper12345*. I think because this is my first pregnancy and I'm yet to speak to a midwife I have no idea what is and isn't normal!
Those first weeks can be really lonely when it's tour first pregnancy and have no clue and have no midwife contact!

Good luck ❤️

Sounds like round ligament pain if movement brings it on.

Unfortunately, most weird and unpleasant things that can happen to your body are totally normal.

It doesn't hurt to seek medical help from midwife/ gp if you're worried though!!
