NCT class cancelled - other options?

Just learned that my (online) NCT Antenatal class has been cancelled due to low numbers. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions about alternatives/options.
We have been offered a place on another NCT course but it's further away in a town we never visit. One of the main reasons we signed up for NCT is to be connected to other soon-to-be parents living nearby - so while the course is still online, it'd be much harder to meet up afterwards.

We've done an online hypnobirthing course already and feel pretty comfortable with the birth aspect - so looking more for tips on post-birth/ newborn care.

I can see two main options:

  1. Sign up to the further away NCT course
  1. Look for an alternative online course that focuses on post-birth. Does anyone have any recommendations of good "newborn" courses?
If we went with 2, I guess we could also explore other things like the Peanut app for connecting to others (is it worth it?) and maybe hiring a postnatal doula for some support using the money we'd save by not doing NCT.

Many thanks in advance for any ideas or recommendations.

My hospital ran amazing antenatal classes online, have you asked your midwife? If not I’ve also found other mums just by posting on a local group on Facebook, no need to necessarily do a class.

We’re doing Bump and Baby and that’s been brilliant so far.

If and when baby massage classes/ baby music groups open join these and do baby swimming. It’s tough but force yourself to be super friendly and engage with people in the group being direct about meeting up afterwards/ swapping numbers etc. Offer to start a WhatsApp for the group.
Look for local mum Facebook groups, suggest meet ups if no one else does. I met my best local mum pal that way x

Thanks all - some good tips! I guess we're lucky in that hopefully things will open up a bit more this summer.
