Hey everyone so this afternoon I have been sent for a growth scan by my midwife because my bump was measuring 20cm at 24 weeks, so abit small she has told me not to worry and said it’s most likely because I’m very slim, tall and my muscles are probably just holding everything together this is also my first baby, I am very anxious about the Doppler part tho I do know what it’s for so I’m just worried something might be wrong with baby anyone else had the same experience? I don’t wanna get myself worked up but finding it hard not too. I forgot to mention I still been feeling him kick just about every day some more than others and she has checked the heartbeat all Is fine around 140

What are you worried about?
If she checked the heartbeat and it was 140 and she said it was fine?

Do you mean Doppler during the ultrasound scan? If so, this shouldn’t be performed until 28 weeks so no need to worry about that (unless youve got twins)

I’m sorry if I didn’t explain myself clear enough I’m still new to this but I’ve been booked for a growth scan and a Doppler scan to check the blood flow, my midwife just wants to make sure baby is growing at a ‘normal’ rate and I’m worried he might not be growing right if my bumps measuring small

The fundal height is an outdated measurement.

Pretty much everyone I know has been sent for a growth scan and all has been fine.
