30 + 4 weeks, second viable pregnancy.
Pregnancy 1 emergency induction at 37 weeks due to sky high bile acids and OC (reduced movements for 3 weeks prior led to tests and oc diagnosis).
So this pregnancy, I have an anterior placenta. Felt some movement in weeks 27 and 28. Very little since. I can go a whole day with nothing. There is no patterb. I know the movement is harder to feel with an anterior placenta and I need to look out for low down, up top and the sides, but there is virtually nothing I can detect. Sometimes my stomach gurgles. Apparantly this is movement but feels digestive to me. Mentioned it to midwife who put me on a twice weekly ECG plan. Had the third visit yesterday and since his trace is fine and they can see him moving on the ECG all my future appointments have been cancelled. I have been told to return if "I am worried".
So I am lying here. Haven't felt him move all day - not unusual. But also no way of knowing if it's normal or something to worry about. In short I can't make any assessment, I have no reference. I don't know when to worry.
I am left feeling quite alone and that the midwife didn't believe me that I can't feel anything. I am not expecting to be monitored all the time. But I know that watching your babies movements is key in ensuring they're okay and I would quite like some so I could blooming monitor them.
But what to do when you can't feel them? Any thoughts?
