Third baby bump size!

Just wondering if anyone else on their third pregnancy started showing much earlier and/or have a bigger bump?

I’m only 9 week but my bump looks about 4/5 months. It’s consistently huge so I don’t think it’s bloat as then it would be bigger/smaller at different times of the day. I’m really hoping it will balance out and that I won’t end up the size of a house by 9 months. I’m slim and petite usually and I can already feel loads of itching and stretching of the my bump skin. I only put on 13kg for both pregnancies before. Let me know your experience ladies.

Congrats on your pregnancy
Are you sure it's not a multiple?Shock

Tickly · 18/02/2021 19:29

Yes. Although I remember being more conscious of this with no 2 it definitely happened with no 3 as well. It evened out to a perfectly normal bump by about month 4-5 and an average 7.25kg baby.

EllieRosesMammy · 18/02/2021 19:31

I'm almost 8 weeks with my second and I swear I look about 14 weeks already. I hope it's not multiples 😂

Mamabearwhere · 18/02/2021 19:47

@kwaziseyepatch definitely not I’ve done two scans so far.

@Tickly ah I hope that’s the case with me, I’m hoping it will balance out eventually.

@EllieRosesMammy it’s crazy isn’t it. I remember showing early with my second but I was still going into the office and able to hide it. Thankfully working from home now otherwise no way on earth I could hide this huge bump and would have to tell work at 8/9 weeks.

With my third I stretched out quickly. I put it down to having been stretched out twice already that their wasn't much resistance left🤣 bump got big quickly but levelled out until about two weeks before I gave birth when I was really massive, but the baby was the biggest out of the three of them so it made sense.

Only on my second and I've looked over 4 months from the moment I got a positive test! Normally a petite size 10 as well. A massive 2 stone heavier now at 5 months whoops

halfwaythrough2 · 18/02/2021 20:03

Actually scared to have a third I may pop ha! The wonders that our bodies can do

Deadringer · 18/02/2021 20:06

I was huge on my third.

Sceptre86 · 19/02/2021 18:11

I am 11 weeks with my third and I would say it is a definite bump now not just bloat. I have got my scan in two weeks and will then be telling work. I am bigger than you which has helped in that it looked like I have just put weight on but the bump is getting round now. I am still exercising and trying to eat well I say whilst waiting for dh to pick up my fish and chips.

ohidoliketobe · 19/02/2021 18:17

3rd for me - #1 was 8lb (40+2) #2 was a 5lb5oz (39+6).
This bump definetly appeared earlier, but I'm 30 weeks now and it seems to have settled over the past two weeks. However actually measuring small again so will see once I've had a few growth scans.

@Tickly I hope you mean 7.25 lb and not kg ShockGrin

mariebaby3 · 19/02/2021 18:35

Third baby and I am huuuge compared to my last two! My bump has been obvious since around 10 weeks and at 18 weeks now I’m about the size as I was from about 30 in my last pregnancy.

Chelyanne · 19/02/2021 19:00

@Tickly you'll be scaring the 1st time mums with that average 7.25kg, that's over a stone lol

Chelyanne · 19/02/2021 19:07

I felt big earlier but just look podgey still (14+3wk #6), my normal trousers were a squeeze by 8wk, I was the same with our son (he was a big lad at 4.88kg/10lb 12oz). Funnily enough normal clothes fit me better with our twin girls early on although bump grew big fast with them and was absolutely huge by the end (they were 8lb 5oz & 8lb 11oz @ 38wk).
I have noticed my belly shrinks after I've been lifting weights in the gym as my abs tighten up, they get lazy the rest of the time.

Tickly · 19/02/2021 20:03

Omg 3.25!!!! 7lb something 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Tickly · 19/02/2021 20:04

@ohidoliketobe yes 3.25kg 🤣🤣🤣 omg imagine a 7kg baby 😬

Spaghettiamaretti · 19/02/2021 20:49

I’m having my third now, currently 34 weeks and much buffed than I was with my previous two. I’ve got 2 boys and this is a girl so I naively assumed I’d have a smaller bump and potentially a smaller baby (last baby was 8lb 6 and whilst not ‘massive’ he seemed it compared to my 6lb 7 first baby, though he was born at 36 weeks so probably would have been a big size at full term).

I’m struggling so much with this pregnancy everything is just bigger and heavier I’m looking forward to it being over!
