Hi! I am a FTM and have just had an induction booked for Saturday. Was wondering if anyone had any positive induction stories out there?
I am happy to have it booked in but also slightly anxious especially with partners not able to attend until I'm established labour xxx

Ds was an induction. 3 hour labour no pain relief all good, the worst bit was the cannula!

Induced at 40+6

Had a pessary at 10pm. Was supposed to start the drip 4 hours later but they were short staffed so started on the drip at 7am.
Baby arrived at 6pm

I had an emergency induction with my 1st. I was told by the midwives to expect it to take several days to get to active labour as it was my 1st baby and I was being induced a little early 🙄

It was actually a lovely birth. I was given the pressary at 8 pm Friday night - went to sleep. Got up sat morning had breakfast - light contractions started around 9am. Went for a walk around the hospital to get a decaf coffee.
Got back to my room at 11am then my waters broke. Used my tens machine for a few hours to help with the pain.

In active labour by 4pm and moved to delivery suite. Given gas and air, and sterile water injections ( these were amazing for back pain). Got in the pool around 9:30pm. Daughter was born in the pool at 10:40pm.

I'm hoping for the same this time ( I'm due again in 10 weeks) I expect to be induced again due to obstetric cholestasis.

Good luck X x
