Why aren't my roots dying?!

I'm 21 weeks pregnant... I have dark brown hair and naturally light hair... I've tried dying my hair now for about 1.5 months and my roots aren't taking dye AT ALL?! Which is obviously annoying as there's nothing worse than roots!! I've tried different hair dyes and tried leaving in roots before I so rest of hair etc and they're not taking colour at all?! Someone please help I feel so gross right now!!

Hormonal changes can alter the hair making is less likely to take the dye. Best thing is to consult a professional but not possible with all this lockdown lark.

I stopped dying my hair prior to getting bfp with current one. It needed dying every few weeks and I got fed up so I'm embracing my rather white natural colour (used to dye black, got a dodgy dip dye look atm lol).

@Chelyanne that's what I read! However I don't think I'm brave enough to go natural as I'm actually ginger so my ginger roots with dark hair... looks awful hahaha. I was thinking on maybe trying a henna dye? As they're supposed to be mega strong idk!

Henna is safe so worth a try. I've never used one on my hair so not sure how good it is.

What exactly are you using on you hair to dye it?
