spotting and cramps.......who do I call?

Well I'm not toooo worried about the spotting as I have had it with my previous pregnancies and it's brown at the moment but I have really bad cramps too

The thing is I'm only 6+2, I have the numbers for my midwife (I'm due to see her on monday)but theres no answer at their office and I don't know if I should use the bleep number as it's not really an emergency

Help any ideas?

Call your local early pregnancy unit.

Agree, EPU would be the place to go. HOw are you now?

We don't actually have an epu here, so in the end I bleeped the midwife

She was lovely and I'm going for a scan tomorrow just to be on the safe side, I just hope it won't be too early to see anything!

Felling a bit better now, still cramping lots but I'm really hoping it's just stretching etc

It's probably the egg implanting to your womb - that was what I was told it was - well I was told that after a horrible Dr told me that I was miscarrying.

Fingers crossed you should be able to see something and if not, they'll ask you to go back in a week or at the end of the week and they should be able to see - I saw my bean on Friday (6+6)

Fingers crossed for you for your scan tomorrow. If it is any reassurance to you I had some spotting at 5 weeks and cramps for 4-5 days, MW said it was probably baby burrowing down into my womb and getting comfy! Although I had spotting in previous pgs this was the first where I had cramps too but all was well and I am now 32 weeks.
