Gender of baby

I had a nub techs theory from my 12 week scan, they predicated 90% a girl so we'd set our heart on a girl as we already have 3 boys. We then had a private scan at 16 weeks and they said were having a boy so i really dont know what to believe. Im kind of hoping the private scan is wrong and we will get our girl but either way im happy 🙂💕💙 Has anyone else been predited both by different people? X

How frustrating for you! But I would be more inclined to believe a later scan as 12 weeks can be too early to tell properly. I would get accustomed to the idea that it is another boy. Four boys is pretty special!

A 12wk scan prediction would just be a guess.
The private gender scan is most likely right, you still have the anomaly scan to come so can have it confirmed then.

I believe a 16 week private scan can sometimes be wrong as the babys only the size of an apple. It probably is another boy, i could get it confirmed at my 20 week scan but not sure i want to now haha x

I would believe the 16 week scan, 12 weeks is too early

It's far less common to get a boy wrong - the bits are very obvious. It does happen but it's very rare.

SnooperTrooper12345 · 17/02/2021 14:14

As PP said. It's very rare to say a boy when it isn't on the scan.
It's more common the other way around.

I’d be more inclined to go with the scan rather than the nub theory. Having said that nub theory at 14 weeks predicted 95% boy, private scan at 15 weeks and the anomaly 20 week scan confirmed boy. Hopefully it’s wrong and you get your little girl but healthy baby is the best Smile

When pregnant with ds the midwife
Did tell me that it's very rare for the person doing the scan to get yen gender wrong when it's a boy.

I would trust the gender scan. Congratulations on your baby Flowers
