Anyone fallen pregnant after Covid vaccine?

Hi,

Bit of background- need IVF to conceive. Embryos are abroad in North Cyprus. It’s been a total heartbreaking nightmare trying to get out there these last 12 months to have an embryo transfer.

We don’t know what North Cyprus will require when they are allowing Brits back in. I’m sure they’ll let those vaccinated in to their Country without many, or any restrictions, but would like to think those not yet vaccinated will be allowed in with some measurements in place.

Anyway, I had Covid last month, around 5 weeks ago. My period post Covid was very weird and I still don’t feel right. Often experiencing cramps/tiredness etc...

My GP surgery have offered me a vaccine. I’m asthmatic but it’s under control. I was lucky in the respect that Covid didn’t impact my chest/breathing much.

I’m absolutely torn on this. One one hand I think having the vaccine may get me in to North Cyprus easier, but on the other hand i’m so scared that the vaccine, so soon after Covid will be no good for me in terms of fertility. I know Covid causes inflammation, so imagine the vaccine may? Is having the vaccine so soon after having Covid going to impact the chances of a frozen embryo transfer working... how can we know for sure?

I’m hoping to get to Cyprus in May, so that wouldn’t be enough time for the second dose anyway, as there’s no way I’d transfer an embryo until at least 10-12 weeks post vaccine.

Anyway, i’ve gone off on a tangent, but has anyone fallen pregnant soon after the Covid vaccine, if so, which vaccine?

I’m just coming back to this thread, as when I started it there was only 1 response, but I see there’s plenty now.

I’m the Original Poster, and I didn’t get the vaccine. My treatment keeps being delayed because I have PCOS/hormonal imbalance and i’m not having proper periods, therefore not shedding my lining, so can’t start my FET process.

I’ve now been put on Norethisterone for 26 days to (hopefully) induce a decent bleed. I’m having the Pfizer vaccine on Sunday. If all goes to plan, embryo transfer will be 6 weeks later. I’m hoping that’s enough time between vaccine and transfer, and this thread has been super reassuring.

Yes - I conceived two weeks after having Pfizer (I also have PCOS). Good luck!

CityGirlintheCountry · 25/05/2021 11:16

I had Pfizer #1 on 7 May, and got my BFP on 22 May, so probably got knocked up the day of the jab. So far so good!

shivawn · 25/05/2021 11:16

Yep, received my first Pfizer vaccine just days before ovulating and falling pregnant.

Starshapeddreams · 25/05/2021 11:50

I fell pregnant one month after my first Pfizer vaccine.

Saffronann1 · 25/05/2021 20:54

Hi! I had my second dose of the Pfizer 18th April and found out pregnant on 14th May. Good luck with your IVF process x

AZ Jab on 19th March
Frozen embryo transfer on 7th April
Bfp on 17th April...
(After 5 failed transfers over the previous 9 months...)

Megzj91 · 25/05/2021 21:59

Had my AZ jab in March, BFP May and had my 2nd vaccine recently. Risks of not having outweighed for me personally. Glad I made that choice!

This makes me so happy reading of all this success, thank you!

I absolutely want the vaccine, it’s non negotiable, but I didn’t know if I needed to move embryo transfer back (there’ll be 6 weeks between jab and transfer) I really didn’t want to push it back as I’m already 15 months behind schedule Sad

Yes, I had the second dose of Moderna on 23rd March and found out I was pregnant on 11th May.

Lostintranslatio · 29/05/2021 18:56

Hi ladies! Did you notice any cycle alterations after the vaccine?

seven201 · 29/05/2021 19:36

Not what you asked but I'm waiting for a frozen transfer in June and I had the Pfizer vaccine a couple of weeks ago. We're trying naturally this month too. I am a secondary teacher though and I just didn't feel safe being unvaccinated. I didn't want to do it in my FET cycle, so if I had a work from home job I'd have probably waited until the next FET (yes, pessimistic!) had failed rather than delaying the ivf as I can't stand the waiting! It sounds like you have a good block of time between the job and ivf cycle.

I had pfizer in January and got pregnant in March Grin
Previously it took 8+12 months to get pregnant with fertility investigations both times!!!

Pinkjellies · 30/05/2021 04:16

I conceived the day I had my first AZ vaccine. Hope you get out to Cyprus soon.
