Hey everyone I had a 28 week growth scan today (type 1 diabetic) baby weighed 3pound 3 ounces just nosey and curious to see if any one else has had a 28 week growth scan and what did baby weigh - diabetics tend to have big baby’s I know (last baby was 9lb 13oz at 38 weeks)

If you look at your growth scan, it will show the percentile. Which would be out of 100 babies, where yours would place.
So basically an average.

My baby at my 28 week scan was 3lb 1oz

I've got my 28 week growth scan on Thursday so i'll be interested to see how big she is.
Just to note well controlled diabetics have normal size babies, it's uncontrolled , poor glucose control diabetics who end up with huge babies, lets not generalise when a lot of us have tried so hard to maintain excellent control through pregnancy.

@DiabeticFirstBaby my sugars WERE controlled and ARE CONTROLLED thank you - my baby was still on the larger side!!!

Hi @Millylou3
I had a growth scan last week, I don't have diabetes and have been tested for gestational diabetes as well (due to my BMI and baby measuring bigger on a 16w scan). Also came back clear.

Baby was measuring just over 3lb's so is noted on the 90th centile. They don't seem too concerned as long as he keeps on that trend. Smile
