Surgery while pregnant

I had to have abdominal surgery at 24 weeks pregnant for a ruptured appendix and was very poorly afterwards. My scar runs straight down the middle through my belly button. I’m now 29 weeks and have been told I can labour naturally but I’m terrified and leaning towards an elective c section. Has anyone given birth either of these ways so close to surgery? Everything I find seems to be past surgeries with a lot more than 3 months in between that and labour!
