Ladies, I'm 29+3 and these have just appeared, my Gran would say I've been lying but I just wondered if I am eating too much or too little of something? they hurt

Hi!
I seem to have a few of these but have just put them down to be generally run down. Pregnancy really does take it out of me! Are you feeling ok apart from that?

beansprout · 02/11/2007 16:29

Sorry, should have changed my name back sooner!!

MrsMcJnr · 02/11/2007 16:30

Beansprout is that you hon? how are you? generally I am fine, feel good actually and not run down so I'm a bit miffed about these sore spots.

Are they mouth ulcers? I get them when I'm run down, you could try bogela but I've never found it very effective.

Get doctor to check iron levels as it can often be attributed to anaemia.

MrsMcJnr · 02/11/2007 16:33

Nope not ulcers, they are literally like spots on the end of my tongue.

Iron levels were checked last week and are good

Very small red pinpoint type spots, slightly raised and rather tender?

MrsMcJnr · 02/11/2007 16:40

more white than red but not like a pusy spot (sorry) but more like that bit of my tongue is inflammed

Am ok thanks. Am 27+2 now but finding it a bit harder this time with a (just) 3 year old ds too!

ComeOVeneer · 02/11/2007 16:41

If it is white it could be thrush.

MrsMcJnr · 02/11/2007 16:50

uggh I'm seeing MW on Monday so I'll ask her - thanks.

Beansprout - glad you are well, I can see how another DC can make pregnancy so much harder, at least I can relax when I want to. Stay well hon

I get those sometimes... think just means you are run down a bit, wouldnt worry.

Hi Beansprout! We were getting worried about you.

NotQuiteCockney · 02/11/2007 17:07

I used to get oral thrush when pregnant. Eating acidic food made them worse. They didn't hurt that much, but they looked gross. It was just a normal thing for me.

I got my dentist to look at them, but we felt the treatments weren't worth it.

You may find sore mouth pastilles might help? Boots sell them. I'd bet they're safe in pg.

Glossitis, could be anaemia, vitamin deficiency, not uncommon in pregnancy.

Sore though
