Cervix Swabs for Thrush

Hi, I’m just coming for some more advice please!
I’m 11+1 today and I went to the doctors today to have some swabs due to my discharge being green/yellow they wanted to see what it was, she used a speculum and did one swab, she had a look at my cervix too and she said it was looking good and everything then did the swab.
She said it looks like thrush so she’s treating me with pessaries and the swab didn’t hurt it was just more uncomfortable than anything.
She didn’t really tell me much and I didn’t ask many questions like I should have but I was just wondering if anyone else had swabs earlier on in pregnancy/1st trimester and everything was okay? I’ve been reading some stuff and spoke to a friend that had one when she was pregnant but I just wanted to know like will I bleed now? Has the swab irritated the cervix? Will anything bad happen now?
Sorry if this sounds stupid to other people I just wanted to know and if anyone else and their baby/pregnancy was totally fine after having one?
Thanks!

I've had this more than once in 1st and 2nd trimesters and not had any bleeding but it can be normal to get a bit of spotting as well so don't worry if you do. Once you're pregnant the cervix is closed and baby is nice and secure in a sealed area away from the speculum/swab - it won't have affected your pregnancy. As you say just unpleasant!

@Alwayssilver I had a swab done at EPU after I had spotting for three days. I had a scan and they couldn't find any cause for the spotting, so had an internal examination and was found to have a polyp. The swab came back as having BV, so basically the opposite of thrush. Like PP said, having a swab in pregnancy is safe and it's good you're getting treatment for thrush. I went on to have a colposcopy to look further at the polyp and again that's safe too x

Hi. I had swabs at 6 weeks pg with dd. I had no bleeding afterwards and the midwife was very reassuring that the swabs don't actually go into the cervix and they wouldn't do the procedure if it wasn't safe.

Thank you everyone! Makes me feel a lot better!
Yeah you’re all right that they wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t safe, I’m always just in some sort of worry about something at the minute! (I’m blaming it on hormones and anxiety now haha)
The only symptom I’ve had of the thrush is the green/yellow discharge so I’ve used the pessary (also unpleasant haha) and hoping it clears up the discharge! (Sorry TMI there)
Thank you though everyone I really appreciate it :) x
