Does this sound like a chemical?

Hi everyone. I’m not sure if I had a chemical pregnancy last month. I don’t know much about them but hoping someone on here can help me. I just want to know as this month my period is 11 days late now and I think maybe that would be explained by a chemical last month?
I remember my period was a few days early and whilst my period would normally just start as a normal flow and carry on til it lightened at the end, last month I had a day of spotting then the next day I had severe pain especially on one side (I was considering a&e!) and the days after that it tailed off. Thought maybe I had just had a bad one but now as my cycle this month is off I’m just wondering.
I didn’t do a test at the time. I did do a test yesterday which was negative.

Unfortunately there is no way of telling as you didn't take a test at the time. I'd just put it down to a blip in cycles and move on.

You are likely experiencing a hormonal imbalance which is making your cycles go go a little haywire. If I were you I would wait to see if it normalizes soon, if no, talk to your doctor and get checked - there are a ton of reasons why this could be the case. A typical chemical is a faint positive followed by a period that's on time or a few days late. You are unlikely to have experienced a chemical last cycle.
