Spotting at 7+6

Hello ladies,

I'm hoping someone has some reassurance for me, I've had quite a bit of spotting the last couple of days and I'm very anxious.

I has a scan last week at my EPU (after bad spotting and cramping at 4 weeks) and everything seemed fine, but a couple of days later I had slight brown discharge. I've had a bit every day since then until yesterday when it got worse and then today there was also a tiny bit of fresh blood and it was slightly heavier in general. Not enough to need a pad but enough to worry me a lot more.

I rang my local gynaecology unit and the doctor said to wait and see if it gets worse in the next week or so or if it settles down and if I need to be seen then they will scan me.

So I'm trying my best not to worry but I'm hormonal and emotional and that's what I do best! It's just hard when no one in my life knows and even though I have the most loving and supportive partner ever he just can't understand how I'm feeling.

Have you had the same thing? Any positive stories for me?

I would try not to worry (easier said than done, i know).

I had some spotting at 7 weeks and called my doctor about it. They told me "for bleeding being listed as an uncommon early pregnancy symptom, its really common in early pregnancy" and went on to explaining different things that can cause the bleeding like anything irritating the cervix (i.e. sex) causes a lot of women to experience bleeding. As long as you are not filling up a pad in four hours time, i wouldn't worry too much. (that's also what my doctor told me). it sucks waiting - i didn't end up having my first scan until 11 weeks but everything was perfectly fine :) currently 20 weeks going in for my anatomy scan Tuesday!

@missbell11 thank you so much. I've got my scan at 11 weeks in a few weeks time but it feels a lifetime away! I just need everything to be ok until then.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Good luck for your scan Smile

Hi @Madeoftea I am going through something similar. I am 7+2 after previously having 4 mc's but I had an early scan at 6 weeks and Dr says it's normal. I am suffering from cramps too but does not feel anything untoward having been through difficult times in the past. I think my body is changing a lot at the moment Keep and eye on it if it gets heavier and you need a pad rather than pantiliner then contact your GP.
Take care and wish you all your best for your 11 week scan xxx

Thank you @Shably it's just so hard not to worry isn't it. I'm trying to stay positive, it's not getting worse but it's also been almost 2 weeks. I'm sorry about your previous MC's that must be so tough. Wishing you all the luck with this pregnancy x
