So fed up

Apologies in advance for the moan.

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I'm just so fed up. I feel exhausted and no energy all the time, I miss my family and I wanted so much to be able to share this journey with them, I feel isolated at home, and I just want this baby out now as I can't cope.

Is anyone else struggling with being pregnant at the moment? Sad

Have you had your iron levels checked?

pregnantfedup · 13/02/2021 20:55

Yes my iron is very low and I'm on tablets for it.

Have they checked it since you started the tablets? I’ve been on them two months and mine has barely increased. Possibly getting an iron infusion next week. I hope so anyway, I’m exhausted. I was grand when I was first diagnosed, it’s only in the last couple of weeks I’ve really felt it.

pregnantfedup · 13/02/2021 21:06

I've only been on them for a week or so as it was only recently picked up. I have a midwife appointment next week, I'm guessing she will check my levels again. I wonder why yours haven't gone up? They mentioned infusion to me too as a possibility due to how low they were. Sad

Same here!

33 weeks and also low iron so on tablets but still very tired when i used to have lots of energy previously.
Also missing family... and feeling very isolated/bored.
I feel your pain 😞

PFin · 14/02/2021 06:00

Feel exactly the same. Is this first baby? Im 28 weeks and I want her to stay in until lockdown is over and we can see family etc again whenever shes actually here. The lonliness is like ive never experienced before tho, you are not alone.

pregnantfedup · 14/02/2021 06:39

It's good to hear I'm not alone, sorry to hear others are suffering too.
@PFin it's my second baby.

It just sort of feels like being robbed of how pregnancy is supposed to be, if that makes sense. The isolation is the worst Sad

Its my 2nd too, such a contrast from first even just missing out on the wee things like shopping with mum/family/friends for baby bits and doing all the wee lunch dates and everything is what kept me going and sane last time. Now everythings being ordered online dont think my friends have even sewn my bump. As long as babies healthy Smile doesnt mean its easy tho!

TheFoz · 14/02/2021 15:16

@pregnantfedup I don’t know why mine haven’t gone up. I’ve been taking the supplements religiously with orange juice, eating red meat and green veg. I’m looking forward to having a bit of energy!

BaaHumbugg · 14/02/2021 16:29

I'm struggling too even after a fairly good sleep I'm still exhausted! Also waiting to hear about an iron infusion too. This is my second though so my daughter doesn't give me a chance to be lonely or rest!

Hi @pregnantfedup
I feel exactly the same, I’m 23 weeks pregnant and really missing my friends and family Sad
I knew being pregnant wouldn’t be easy but I feel like being pregnant in a pandemic makes things so much harder, not being able to see anyone, not being able to go baby shopping and not being able to plan a baby shower cause we don’t know if it’ll be allowedSad
I’m hoping the restrictions ease off soon so we’ll be able to have a bit of normality back! x x x

I'm 30 weeks too. Feeling ok except can hardly walk far due to SPD. On medication for heartburn which has pretty much cured it. So fed up of working from home and home-schooling my 5 year old. We used to go some many places every weekend and school holiday, I used to plan weeks ahead and we had such adventures. I am bored stupid now especially it being Winter, getting down and miserable, my daughter's behaviour is deteriorating majorly. I was going to do pregnancy yoga and aqua natal this pregnancy but can't. We are doing an online hypnobirthing class which is ok.
