Some advice after miscarriage please

I had a very early miscarriage around two weeks ago and was just wondering when I am likely to have a period?

I have had a miscarriage before a couple of years ago but that was at around 10-12 weeks and I cant remember when I came on after that.

As it was so early I was expecting it to be more like a period in that I should now be starting to feel crampy etc but nothing as yet.

Any advice welcome thanks.

Hi Binkle - so sorry to hear your news. I assume you have already completed the MC? (sorry to be blunt). If so, it took me about 6 weeks to get back into my cycles (normally 28 days). Take care

binkleandflip · 02/11/2007 09:50

yes all completed - like I say it was very early so almost like a really heavy period, its just that I expected some stirrings before now.

Thanks for your reply

binkle, a mc is a traumatic time for your body. it will take a while to get back to normal. my last mc was in june at 6w and im only just getting back to normal.

Hi blinkle

I had a very early mc last Christmas and conceived 2 weeks later, so I would expect your AF until another 2 weeks probably - unless you're likely to be pg again?

Take care

No, no chance of being pregnant again (despite my dh's best efforts - to get in the bedroom lol)

Thanks for the replies

Hi Binkle,

im so sorry for you, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I too had an early mc just on Feb 9th and i fell pregnant with my 3rd child around the end of march so there is hope. This pregnancy is going fantastic so im sure if u are keen to try again you will be quick to concieve and a success next time round. As for AF i had mine on the 14th march after mc so from 9th feb till then. Take care and keep trying. Best wishes motherearth25.

I would say it depends on your cycle - we are all different. I had a missed mc at 11 weeks, 2 weeks after I was ovulating and AF 2 weeks after that. Had my DD just over a year ago and after my first AF I was straight back into a normal cycle. Had a very early mc a couple of weeks ago too and appear to be ovulating again now sp next period (if we don't conceive this time) will be 2 weeks time.
Might be an idea for you to read up on how to recognise your cycle? We are all different though. Best of luck TTC again though.

I think it varies from person to person and Mc to MC. It will come in time.

I am so sorry for your loss.
