I need some help please, I was taking my socks off last night to go in the shower and I noticed these red bumps on my toes, my second and middle toe, I didn't think much of it at first until I got up this morning and its starting hurting and spread to my big toe and the back of those 3 toes. I've tried looking it up and the only thing that really has come up is HFM disease, so naturally I'm freaked out, I don't really know what to do, doctors aren't open, it's only emergency midwife the weekend and would 111 be able to do anything without seeing it? Just wanted to ask if anyone else has had this? I'm also 11 weeks pregnant so I'm worried it's HFM... Please someone help :(

Just realised I haven't attached a photo, but it's not giving me an option too? It's just painful red blotches on the top of these 3 toes and under neath them too.

I think your best option is to call 111. They'll likely book you an appointment at your nearest out of hours GP practise so you can be assessed.

Contact your GP of course but if it can reassure you it sounds like chiblains to me. They are very painful, I get them on all my toes. Pregnancy will make you more prone to them as it affects circulation.

Thanks guys, I went to my out of hours GP (didn’t know that was a thing) he told me it looks like chilblains and they’ll just go on their own, he also told me I needed to go for a covid test just incase they’re covid related because apparently it’s a new symptom of covid so I had that today too! Hopefully it’s just chilblains and not covid related! My whole body has started to itch now too but I don’t know if that’s in my head at this point! Every little thing at the moment is really freaking me out!

Glad to hear! Fingers crossed with your Covid test, I did worry about Covid too when I first got mine but from what I read it's unlikely to be the first/only symptom.

I'm with you on the anxiety over every little thing, it's exhausting!
