I am 5 weeks pregnant so just found out, we were planning to do some painting this weekend but I’m worrying whether I should or not - I know I did a lot with my son but I was in second trimester..

Thoughts? Experiences?

TIA X

General home decorating is fine, the paint is usually non toxic. I’ve painted the whole nursery whilst pregnant, the fumes really aren’t as bad as they used to be back in the day.

Most paint these days are perfectly safe, keep the room(s) well ventilated and you'll be fine.

Thank you! Think I’m just extra cautious / anxious following a previous loss. I do have bits (radiator covers) that I can do outside, in the freezing cold! 🙈 x

I painted my twins bedroom myself at 7 months pregnant - it's fine. Have the windows open etc
