Hey everyone,

Found out I was pregnant on Tuesday... officially a week and 1 day late on period today.

First baby so no idea what I'm doing.. but I have a early scan on Tuesday next week to determine dates but I think I'm around 5 weeks.

Is it normal to have pms like symptoms?
I have really sore lower back, cramps in tummy and I'm SO bloated I already look 6 months 🤣
I'm also very gassy 🙈🤣

Congratulations! Bloating and cramps are very common early on it should ease off.

HeyDW96 · 12/02/2021 20:49

Congratulations! Completely normal, I felt like my period was coming for the first 8 weeks, lots of cramping, heaviness feeling and pressure in my back! Enjoy the time before you tell loads of people!

DreamingInColours · 12/02/2021 20:51

Yes, normal. I felt really crampy for the first couple of weeks. Congratulations!

emfl01 · 12/02/2021 21:06

Thanks everyone!

Got quite a lot of discharge too and keep running to the toilet because I think I'm bleeding!! Tuesday can't come quick enough ❤️

Congratulations. 5 weeks is very early to be scanned, don’t be alarmed if there’s no heartbeat as this isn’t usually seen until 6-7 weeks x

emfl01 · 12/02/2021 21:43

@Littlebee1990

Yes the GP made me aware of that 😊 it's just to work out how far along I as my periods are very irregular so not 100% sure if I am 5 weeks! 🥰

@emfl01 That’s good, I wasn’t made aware and was frantic with worth after an early scan! Really hope all goes well ♥️

Littlebee1990 · 12/02/2021 22:11

*worry

emfl01 · 12/02/2021 22:37

@Littlebee1990 thank you! Will keep you all updated ❤️
I'm just such a worrier so I hope everything is okay 🤞🏻

Got woken up to bleeding :( think I've lost it 😓

I've got my fingers crossed for you OP. Bleeding isn't always bad so don't lose all hope. Early pregnancy is really hard as you never quite know what's going on in there!!Xx

Littlebee1990 · 18/02/2021 08:05

How are you doing @emfl01? X

rainbowstardrops · 18/02/2021 08:09

How are you @emfl01? I hope all is ok.

emfl01 · 18/02/2021 08:22

Hey everyone,
Sorry I've been quiet... sadly found out I had a early miscarriage on Tuesday 😓
Didn't realise how much this would affect me but it's been a emotional rollercoaster and it all happened very quickly. Life can be so cruel 😓

We want to try again in a few months when I'm physically and mentally recovered as I am still bleeding heavily from Sunday

So sorry @emfl01. If it makes you feel any better I had the exact same in June, I then conceived this little 28 week bump in August. You’re apparently more fertile the months after a loss but of course take the time you need to recover. My cycles were a little messed up after. Look after yourself x

emfl01 · 18/02/2021 10:23

@Littlebee1990
Oh wow! So around a month and half after MMC?

Thank you! I'm feeling a lot better today and yesterday was my first day without crying.
We are moving house in a couple of weeks so excited for a fresh new start and perhaps we can then get trying again! 😊

OP posts:
Littlebee1990 · 18/02/2021 10:48

It wasn’t a MMC, it was an early miscarriage (MMC is a missed miscarriage usually identified when you go for your 12 week scan and baby stopped growing but your body didn’t realise)

But yeah I had a period about 6 weeks after the early miscarriage and then conceived the month after that x

Littlebee1990 · 18/02/2021 10:49

Good luck with the move! It’s a very good distraction x

emfl01 · 18/02/2021 10:51

Sorry - still not all there with the lingo on this app 🤣

Who knows.. new house new baby 😊 🤞🏻

Oh* @emfl01* I'm so sorry to hear that. Like you say though, new home and a new start. Good luck!

Littlebee1990 · 18/02/2021 14:42

@emfl01 I have everything crossed for you 💙💗
