Due Date Accuracy

According to my 12 week scan, I am currently 31+4 days pregnant and therefore expecting on April 12th, however when I consider the date of my last period (which I definitely know to be June 29th because I kept a monthly track on a fertility app) it places me at 32+4 days (due date April 6th). Which is therefore more accurate? I'm aware the due date predicted from the 12 week scan is regarded as being more likely the case, but I know without a doubt that my last period began on the date given, therefore suggesting the earlier date is more accurate?

The date of period doesn’t determine the date of ovulation/conception.

So you scan is more accurate

Oooh you're due the day before I am Smile. I think the scan is more likely to be accurate as ovulation can fluctuate even if your period is regular. According to my last period I should be due March 27th but the scan said mid April and every measurement and milestone I've had since has been right on track for that.

Agree with pp, dating from your last period assumes a date for ovulation which may not be accurate if you ovulated later than the average woman (or got pregnant from sex after ovulation). So the scan should be more accurate.

Thank you both very much, and lovely to meet someone else due mid-April @Tarantallegra :)

My three scans (most recently on Monday) have also shown my baby's development coincides more with the second prediction, so hopefully will give me a week longer to prepare for their arrival!
