Bleeding

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone could share any experiences of bleeding early pregnancy and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?

Could do with some positivity today xxx

Hi,
I had spotting a week ago at 14 weeks. I panicked because this is my third pregnancy and I’ve never had it in previous pregnancies so I feared the worst. I had a scan at the early pregnancy unit the following day and everything was fine thankfully. They said it wasn’t coming from the uterus and was just one of those things. They said it’s best to get any bleeding checked though.
Honestly thought I know of lots of people who have had bleeding in pregnancy and everything turned out fine. All at different stages too. Someone I know had bleeding like a light period at 9 weeks but her baby was fine. I know someone who had bleeding at 12 weeks and again at 16 all the way through to 20 weeks but again her baby was fine. Someone else I know has it at 22/23 wks. Thankfully all of them have healthy babies/toddlers now.
I know bleeding can obviously be a bad sign but honestly I know far more people who had it and everything was fine. I’ve heard they worry more about bleeding if you’ve got pain as well.

I've only had more than a little spotting with unsuccessful pregnancies. Lost count of chemical pregnancies, 5 mc's between 8&12wk, 5 children from 4 term pregnancies, currently 13+3wk and baby doing well so far.

I had massive bleeding at 5 weeks and have been fine so far (12 weeks now). They think I irritated my cervix or something?

@BerylSilverstone Awh this makes me feel better! Fingers crossed. Thanks so much for replying! Did they get any pains ive got a mild cramp at the min?

Cramps and spotting at 5w. Currently 20w.

I don’t think they had pain, but I’m sure mild cramping can be normal as the uterus/ligaments etc stretch.
Have you had a scan or anything to check if all is well? X

@Msd2416 I didn't have any cramps specifically around the bleeding, although this is an IVF pregnancy and the progesterone medication has made me cramp pretty much my whole first trimester. Very glad to be almost finished with it!

The bleed was so scary though, so I really empathise with the stress you're going through. There really is no way of knowing other than waiting. Obviously if it comes with intense pain you should go to A&E or call the early pregnancy unit. We paid for a sneak peak reassurance scan at 6 weeks which helped me feel better

Hi Ladies, just wanted to just update this thread. Unfortunatly i did miscarry. After the initial light bleed there was lots of clotting and then tested negative. Really hope noone else experiences this xx
